I’m always here for you, promise

While it all starts with the four month coaching program, it doesn’t have to end there.

After our initial four months are up, my clients split into three groups:

Finished with coaching

Some people have gotten what they need and feel ready to fly solo!

This is generally the right fit for people who needed help creating a financial plan, but didn’t have deeply ingrained financial habits to change.

Repeat four month intensive

Some people choose to repeat the four month intensive, because their deep work around money isn’t done yet.

The bi-weekly program is the right fit when we’re still creating the financial transformation.

Continue with ongoing support

Others – around 50-60% of clients – want to continue working together at a lower intensity and choose to stick around for ongoing support.

That’s what I’ll tell you about here!

The hard work you’ve put in pays off

KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM WITH ONGOING SUPPORT.

In the four month coaching program, we’ve done the deep investigative work of understanding your spending, defining your goals, and creating a financial plan. But…what now? Unless you are superhuman or win the lottery while we’re working together, it will probably take more than four months to actually achieve your financial goals.

WHILE VERY IMPORTANT, A PLAN IS JUST ONE COMPONENT. STICKING TO IT AS LIFE EBBS AND FLOWS IS ANOTHER BEAST ALTOGETHER.

The last thing I want is for you to yo-yo back to your old financial habits. (You’ve probably been on this rollercoaster before, where you’ve paid off debt only to reaccumulate it later.)

In order to stick to your new plan, continue building good financial habits, and work through lingering financial-emotional issues that will surely come up, I am still here for you. As long as you need me, I’ll be right by your side.

Ongoing accountability and support

In the ongoing support coaching, we’ll tackle things like:

  • Updating your financial plan as circumstances change – think, a new job, new coupling or separation, moving, having a child, etc.

  • Sticking to your budget even when it’s boring

  • Creating new financial goals as you start to achieve the existing ones (imagine what your plan can look like once you’ve paid off that debt!)

  • Addressing the emotional issues around money that inevitably come up. While the most pressing stress and anxiety will lessen once you have a plan, this often creates room for some of the more quiet — but equally impactful — financial struggles to arise

  • Building the resilience to bounce back even when you “mess up”

  • Having the hard financial conversations with loved ones – like, are your parents prepared for a secure retirement? Will they need your help?

  • Tackle the less immediately pressing areas of your financial life that we didn’t get to in the four months.
(Is your insurance in order? Are your investment accounts well allocated? Are your taxes being done properly?etc!) While I’m not licensed — or qualified! — to answer these questions for you, I’ll be your partner in getting answers and crossing things off your to-do list

FULLY CUSTOMIZED TO MEET YOUR NEEDS

Our north star

Our sight remains on you achieving your goals and living your best life — today, tomorrow, and ten years from now. You don’t want to backslide into the financial yo-yoing you’ve experienced before, and there’s no shame in needing ongoing support and accountability.

I’m here for you

With my customized ongoing support, we’ll tailor the program to meet your needs. We can meet anywhere from bi-weekly to twice a year, based on your circumstances and needs. In most situations, we’ll start with monthly and gradually scale down until we land at the lowest level of frequency needed for you to maintain your gains and keep making progress.

The nuts and bolts

Cost

  • Costs can range from $75-450/mo depending on the frequency of meeting

  • We will downscale your meeting frequency as/when it makes sense. I don’t want to take your money any longer than it’s beneficial for you! ;)

Meetings and contact with me

  • Meetings will — usually — still be 50 minutes over zoom

  • This is customizable and some like more regular 30 minute touch-ins. We’ll figure out what’s best for you!

  • I am still available via email or phone for ad-hoc questions, with no extra charge

Time frame and commitment

  • Most people stick with this for 2-3 years but there’s no minimum or maximum time

  • There’s no commitment. You can stop or pause whenever you’d like

  • I’ll always bring it up when I think you’re ready to stop or downscale

Ongoing support FAQs

  • No! When folks stick around for ongoing support, we usually work together for 2-3 years (but there’s no minimum or maximum requirement.) We will downscale your meeting frequency as/when it makes sense, and stop working together once you no longer need the support.

  • On the first of each month, I send an email out to all ‘ongoing clients’ who are scheduled to meet that month. It’ll be a reminder to schedule that month’s meeting and include my calendar link for scheduling ease. You can always schedule them further out in advance, as long as you can keep track of what months we’re meant to meet! :)

  • You can choose to do this at any time, and I’ll also suggest it as soon as I feel you’re ready. Typically, we will:

    • Start monthly, then

    • Move to either every other month or quarterly, then

    • Either stop meetings altogether, or

    • Move to a twice-a-year frequency for indefinite support

I will then delete your current recurring invoice and send a new one that reflects the new price.

The meeting topics will also change over time. As we meet less frequently, our meetings will become less about your habits, behaviors, and day-to-day spending, and more about your long term goals and financial action items. I’m still there for guidance, planning, and accountability but you’re doing the day-to-day troubleshooting.

  • Charges repeat on a monthly basis, regardless of whether we’re meeting that month. That way, it can be a fixed bill built into your monthly budget. Costs range between $75-450/mo, and meeting frequencies range from bi-weekly to twice a year.

  • You can still always reach me by email, phone, or text. I’m pretty flexible, and we can usually schedule an impromptu meeting (at no additional cost) if something comes up, like a new job offer, that needs to be tackled before our next regular meeting.

  • Just reach out to me! By email, phone, or text.

Depending on the nature of the issue, we might:

    • Troubleshoot it over email/text

    • Schedule an additional impromptu meeting at no additional cost

    • Add it to our next meeting’s agenda, depending on home time-sensitive it is and when our next meeting is

    • Increase the meeting frequency for a certain time frame (i.e. maybe in the months following a job change we decide to meet monthly instead of quarterly)
